Daamen & van Sluis is directly involved with the Capelle Food Bank. We support the work of the Food Bank in many ways.

De Groene Burcht is a nursing child care institution in a beautiful location, where all children can and should be children. De Groene Burcht provides intensive child care to children from 0 to 5 years old. This concerns (seriously) ill children with a need for care.

Going out is not always self-evident if you have a physical disability. Sometimes the threshold is simply too high. The Daam & van Sluis team voluntarily transports the elderly during a day out.

Wednesday, December 7, 2022. The Knowledge Club / Daamen & van Sluis cooks for the Ronald McDonald House in Rotterdam! How nice that we could do this for the parents who are currently staying there. Also for the brothers and/or sisters of the children who stay there to get better. A loving mission from our team. Italian was on the menu. And for the little ones who preferred something traditional Dutch, a sausage sandwich! Everything went smoothly. A great evening. Thanks to the volunteers of the house!

Daamen & van Sluis contributes financially to projects that make hospital stays or aftercare after a major illness more bearable.

Our mission is to offer street children and young people in the slums of the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa the prospect of a life outside. In such a way that they can support themselves. 
This starts with a meal, shelter and, where necessary, educational resources. We also encourage correct behavior through structured education and sports. In this way we contribute to a better future perspective.

Capri Cardiac Rehabilitation is a center for outpatient cardiac rehabilitation in the regions of Rotterdam and The Hague. The participants in the rehabilitation program are central. Capri helps participants get back on track: in a healthy way and with confidence in themselves.

Meeting, talking and becoming wiser together: that is Themater. Since 2003, people from Capelles and other regions have met in the Isala Theater. Theme evenings with top speakers, fun performances, pleasant get-togethers. Meaningful debate, on topics that concern us all.

CVV Zwervers and the Friends of Sophia Foundation have entered into a unique collaboration: all CVV Zwervers players wear a shirt with the foundation’s logo. And by all players we really mean all players: from the first team to the tough guys in our minis. We would like to draw attention to the fantastic work that this foundation does for the Sophia Children’s Hospital.

More and more companies are inspired by our heroes who carry the Good Heart Quality Mark. This results in more and more companies wanting to (partially) commit themselves to doing good and that makes us more than proud and gives us (with all our lovely hardworking volunteers) the courage to continue.

The Roparun is a running event of more than 500 kilometers in which people perform a sporting performance as a team to raise money for palliative care for people with cancer. Daamen & van Sluis participated annually in the Roparun as Team111.
